Founder, Feasting on Truth

There’s an old proverb that says, “Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day; teach him how to fish, and he’ll eat for a lifetime.”

That’s the mission behind Feasting on Truth. My passion is to equip others to discover truths in Scripture for themselves. With an intentional focus on exploring the character of God, I encourage and guide others as they build confidence in studying the Bible.

What is Feasting on Truth?

Feasting on Truth is a series of in-depth Bible studies that use Four Simple Questions for studying Scripture. Good Bible study is rooted in asking the right questions. The big word for this is “inductive” Bible study, but that can be an intimidating term. It simply means learning to study the Bible for yourself.

Through the years, I found myself overwhelmed with various inductive methods. I either found them to be too open-ended (not enough guidance) or too complicated (color-codes pens, box this, circle that). These studies provide flexible structure that point to God’s character and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you (John 14:26).

While any individual can do the studies on their own, I believe strongly in studying together in small groups. As a former women’s ministry, I know firsthand how resources can be tight and your time as a church leader is stretched. I want to come alongside you.

Let me help you carry the load.

Feasting on Truth Studies are designed to help you:

  • Build confidence as you learn how to study the Bible firsthand
  • Discover truths about God and His character
  • Connect the Old and New Testaments
  • Grow in your faith and knowledge in a way that produces life change

Frequently Asked Questions

How are the studies formatted?

Each study focuses on a small portion of Scripture each week, usually one chapter at a time. I love studying the Bible slowly, allowing for repetitive reading, deeper study, and better retention. The studies do not include any additional commentary in the books; however, teaching videos are available.

Each study starts with context. The Bible was written for us but not to us, so this important step helps set the foundation for each study.

Then, each week of study includes a guide through the Four Simple Questions, including observation, characteristics of God, cross-references, words to define, a response page, and plenty of space to take notes.

The only exceptions to this format are the Simple Inductive Studies. (See below)

What is the difference between the studies?

There are three levels of study:

Do you speak at events?

Yes! Gathering with women around the Word of God is one of my favorite things! As a former Women’s Ministry Director, I have a passion for meaningful events that not only encourage women in their walk with God but also deepen community with each other. Visit my speaking page for more info.
