Stories from the Wilderness: A Study of the Israelites’ Journey from Egypt to the Promised Land

The wilderness. It’s a place we wish we could avoid, but one that we often find ourselves as well. These are the places where life feels pathless, like we are wandering with no direction. These are the places where we feel dead, begging God to breathe life into us. These are places that feel isolating, alone and questioning if God is who He says He is.

But this wilderness journey is not simply a picture of hard circumstances in our life. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that this world is broken and hurting. One of the best analogies I’ve heard is that all that we saw was under the surface and 2020 drained the lake. It exposed everything that was hidden. This journey through the wilderness is a picture of this life on earth: we have been redeemed, but we are not in the Promised Land yet. Life here on earth often leaves us with questions about who God is. But this study will show us who our Great God is. The One who goes with you through this Great Wilderness and because of it, you lack nothing.

The God of the Promised Land is the same God in the Wilderness.

The Gospel of John: Chapters 1-10

The Gospel of John is unlike the other three gospels. While Matthew, Mark, and Luke focus on the events of Jesus’ life, John focuses on His deity. As one of Jesus’ closest disciples, he gives us an intimate look at our Savior, with miracles and stories not mentioned in the other gospels, while also showing how Jesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.

Inductive Bible study can sound intimidating, but it’s nothing more than learning to study Scripture using your own heart and mind first with the Holy Spirit as your guide. Good Bible study is rooted in asking the right questions, and this journal is designed to give you a balance of both structure and flexibilty and help you:

• Release the bonds of a “perfect quiet time” to find deeper, richer time in the Word
• Build confidence as you learn how to study the Bible first-hand
• Discover truths about God and His character
• Grow in your faith and knowledge in a way that produces life change

The Gospel of John: Chapters 11-21

The Gospel of John is unlike the other three gospels. While Matthew, Mark, and Luke focus on the events of Jesus’ life, John focuses on His deity. As one of Jesus’ closest disciples, he gives us an intimate look at our Savior during the last week of His earthly life, dedicating more chapters to this important week than any other gospel writer.

Inductive Bible study can sound intimidating, but it’s simply learning to study Scripture using your own heart and mind first with the Holy Spirit as your guide. Good Bible study is rooted in asking the right questions, and this journal is designed to give you a balance of both structure and flexibility and help you:

• Release the bonds of a “perfect quiet time” to find deeper, richer time in the Word
• Build confidence as you learn how to study the Bible first-hand
• Discover truths about God and His Character
• Grow in your faith and knowledge in a way that produces life change

Way Maker: An Advent Study through the Book of Hebrews

The season of Advent is an invitation—an opportunity to slow down and take notice; to slow down and take in the wonder and miracle of Jesus’ birth; a season of reflection and anticipation. This Christmas may look different than what you had hoped or planned. So much has changed this year, but Jesus is still the same. He has not changed, and He has never let us go.

This study is not meant to be another “to do” on your list or create more stress in an already stressful season, but rather to point you to the reason He came in the first place. His coming was more than giving us forgiveness of sins or to part the way before us. He came to part the divide between God and us, between us and heaven. Jesus is our Way Maker.

•13 self-paced readings through the book of Hebrews designed to bring your attention to Jesus as the Way Maker
•Two simple questions and space to journal a prayer for each reading-Optional deeper study for each chapter
•Six devotionals to help further your understanding of the passages and provide encouragement
•A guided section to remember and reflect on the past year and see God’s character in your life

ALSO AVAILABLE: Companion teachings available on the Feasting on Truth Podcast (Season 2).

Light & Life: A Study of Psalm 119

We hear it all the time: we need to read the Bible every day. But why is it so important that we know, understand, and apply this ancient book to our lives today? What’s in it for us??

In Psalm 119, we see over and over that God’s Word brings life, and it’s a light to guide us. These 176 verses give us the most comprehensive look at the power and benefits provided to us in Scripture, and the character of the One who spoke the Word into existence. This is not power that can be mustered up in our own human strength or learned from reading any other book. It is a power that can only come from God Himself. If we truly knew the power the Word of God has in our lives, we wouldn’t be able to put it down.
